Design of machining processes and associated hydraulic fixtures for a series of several precision machined components.

The fixtures facilitate the execution of over 80 machining operations on different types of components.

Although the components start the machining processes as “near net shaped” extrusions, the final component weighs barely 10% of the initial weight of the extrusion from which it is machined.

Fixtures enabling robotic handling (loading & unloading) to a machining center since the fixtures can be pressurized and loaded into the manufacturing cell’s magazine decoupled from any hydraulic pressure source. Hydraulic pressure can be maintained until machining in the cell is completed in accordance with the manufacturing que managed by the machining cell controller.
